Captain Clay was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. Growing up in Sitka fostered his love for the outdoors and the waters of Southeast Alaska.

When he's not fishing, he spends time with his wife Ashleigh, his daughter, Sawyer, and son, Rhett. he can also be found along coastlines searching for fallen old-growth timber, hunting in the alpine, and on the ocean fishing and camping with family.
